Dr Tumi set to return to Eswatini with full live band

Award-winning South African Gospel artist Dr Tumi is set to return to Eswatini for the first time in more than six years for a full live-band worship experience scheduled for July 5, 2026.

The highly-anticipated concert will take place at Mbabane Alliance Church, with organisers Kufeziwe Communications confirming that the event forms part of their 2026 revival-focused programme calendar.

Known for spiritually-driven performances and chart-topping Gospel productions, Dr Tumi’s return is expected to attract worshippers and Gospel music followers from across the country, especially those who have not had the opportunity to attend his major South African events in recent years.

Kufeziwe Communications said the concert was specifically designed to bring the artist’s large-scale worship experience closer to Eswatini audiences following growing local demand.

“We are bringing Dr Tumi to their doorsteps,” organisers said.

The event comes shortly after the announcement of Dr Tumi’s upcoming South African stadium production titled The Gathering of Worshippers: 100 000 Hallelujahs, which is set to take place at Johannesburg’s FNB Stadium on May 30, 2026.

According to organisers, the Eswatini show aims to provide local Gospel supporters with a similar high-quality experience for those unable to travel to South Africa.

Rather than a standard international appearance, Dr Tumi is expected to perform alongside his full live band in what organisers described as a complete worship production designed to recreate the atmosphere and musical depth associated with his major concerts and recordings.

Kufeziwe Communications stated that the decision to host the artist aligns directly with their 2026 theme, A Year of Revival, which focuses on using worship gatherings to strengthen spiritual engagement within communities.

“Bringing Dr Tumi back after six years is an intentional move to foster a season of revival within communities through high-calibre worship,” organisers explained.

The selection of Mbabane Alliance Church as the host venue was also described as strategic, with organisers noting that the location offers accessibility, a premium worship environment and a setting that resonates strongly with the artist’s core audience in Eswatini.

They added that the venue would allow them to create an elevated concert experience centred on sound quality, atmosphere and hospitality.

Dr Tumi remains one of Southern Africa’s most recognised Gospel artists, celebrated for songs including Wafika, Nothing Without You and Love on the Cross.

His music has consistently attracted audiences across the continent through large worship gatherings and digital streaming platforms.

When confirming his upcoming show, Dr Tumi said he was looking forward to his comeback in the country.

In a video shared across his social media, the award winning singer said he was looking forward to a massive show.

The upcoming concert is expected to add to Eswatini’s growing calendar of high-profile Gospel events while further strengthening collaborations between local event organisers and regional Gospel acts.

Further event details, including ticketing and supporting acts, are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
