Mzwaa set to drop 'Love The Way' single

Award winning artist Mzwaa is back with a new single titled 'Love The Way' set for release this coming Friday.

The new single follows his recent track 'Caught Up' and continues his run in the R&B/Soul space with something softer, more refined, and easier to sit with.

'Love The Way' is a love song at its core. Nothing complicated. It’s about a guy in sync, comfortable, present, and locked into his partner without forcing anything, and maybe a little too explicit.

The sound, which could be mistaken with one of Tank's ballads ( in a good way) reflects a slow, warm build up mood. Sorry but its an adult song!(😔🥹)

Listening to it, there’s a clear influence from classic R&B, like I said, Tank comes to mind quite easily.

This is because of the same emotional delivery, that smoothness in the phrasing, and the way the record leans into feeling rather than overproduction.

Yet even with that influence, Mzwaa still sounds like himself . Not trying to mimic anyone. Working within a style that fits him.

The production is handled by Lethumusa, who keeps things clean and organic.

The song is driven by a live instrumentation feel, which gives it a very grounded feel.

Nothing feels synthetic or overly polished in a way that takes away from the emotion.

Worth noting, Sihlangu 'Sibz' Sibiya’s guitar work is subtle but important, it sits lightly in the background and adds texture without drawing attention away from the vocals.

Nkosingvile Nsibande on keys brings warmth and depth, while Likhwa Maseko holds everything together with a steady, smooth bassline that gives the track its heartbeat.

There’s also a feature from Zinia, and her voice fits the record really well. She doesn’t come in trying to overpower anything.

Instead, she blends into the mood of the song and adds another layer to it.

The back-and-forth between her and Mzwaa feels natural, like two people having the same conversation from different sides.

Meanwhile compared to 'Caught Up'  this one feels more settled. More complete in its own space.

Overall, 'Love The Way'  shows growth, if Mzwaa keeps shaping his sound like this, he’s building something steady in the R&B space something that feels authentic.
