!Sooks débute en France!

Oui, le voyage commence de l’Eswatini à la France.

Award-winning electronic music artist !Sooks is set to make a historic debut appearance in France.

This is another one of the DJ's significant milestone in his growing international career and further amplifying Eswatini’s presence on the global music stage.

The South Africa-based DJ and producer, whose real name is Sukoluhle Dlamini, recently announced via his social media platforms that he will embark on a France tour scheduled to run from July 8 to 13, 2026.

His announcement has been met with widespread excitement from fans and followers, many of whom have closely followed his journey from local stages to international recognition.

The France tour comes shortly after the artist revealed plans for his first-ever Asian tour, which is set to begin on April 4, 2026.

The tour will include a debut performance at Club Modeci, further underscoring his expanding global footprint.

These developments position !Sooks among a new generation of Southern African electronic artists successfully breaking into international markets.

Social media reactions to the announcement reflect both pride and admiration for the artist’s growth.

!Sooks has attributed part of his artistic inspiration to global cultures, particularly Asia.

Speaking about his upcoming Asian tour in mainstream media he highlighted his long-standing fascination with the region, noting that the artwork for his recent single ‘Kintsugi’ draws directly from Japanese artistic traditions.

In an Instagram caption, he described music as a universal force, adding that South Africa remains central to the global house music movement.

Meanwhile, the track ‘Kintsugi’ has recently gained traction within the electronic music community, attracting attention from established DJs such as Kid Fonque, Vinny Da Vinci and DJ Christos.

According to !Sooks, the song has received widespread support, with numerous house DJs in South Africa sharing and promoting it across their platforms.

Explaining the concept behind the track, the artist said he was inspired by the Japanese philosophy of ‘Kintsugi’ a traditional technique of repairing broken ceramics using lacquer mixed with precious metals such as gold or silver.

The philosophy embraces imperfections, transforming them into unique features rather than flaws.

This idea is reflected in the structure of the song, where subtle elements introduced in the opening gradually merge to form a fuller, cohesive sound.

Born and raised in Eswatini, !Sooks developed an early interest in music, particularly African rhythms and synthesised soundscapes.

His professional breakthrough came in 2016 with the release of his debut EP, ‘7 Years of Colour’under Antidote Music.

He later expanded his reach through releases with international label Deepstitched Records, including the project ‘ A Different Place’

Over the years, he has established himself as a prominent figure in the Southern African electronic music scene, performing at major events across Eswatini, Mozambique and South Africa.

Notable appearances include MTN Bushfire Festival, Soul Candi Spring Fiesta and Mixmag The Lab Johannesburg, platforms known for showcasing leading talent in the genre.

His work has also earned critical recognition. In 2019, !Sooks received multiple accolades at the Dance Music Awards South Africa.

These includes  ‘Best Underground Record of the Year’ for his track ‘Oasis’ and ‘Best Compilation Album’ for his contribution to House Afrika Records’ Mzansi House Vol. 9, which features his debut album Symmetry.

He further secured ‘Best House Artist’ at the MTN SWAMA Awards in Eswatini, solidifying his reputation within both local and regional circuits.

More recently, his debut project under the UK-based Atjazz Record Company, titled Pot Pourri, achieved commercial success by charting at number two on Apple iTunes South Africa’s Dance Chart within its first week of release.

The achievement reflects both his growing fan base and the increasing demand for his sound. The upcoming France tour represents more than just a series of performances.

It signals a broader shift in the global recognition of Southern African electronic music.

For !Sooks, it is an opportunity to introduce his deep house and afro-tech sound to new audiences while carrying the Swazi flag onto international stages.

While he prepares for performances across Europe and Asia, his 2026 schedule reflects a demanding yet promising trajectory.

Confirmed dates between March and July include appearances in Midrand, Johannesburg, South Korea, Sandton, Eswatini, Cape Town, Soweto, Durban and ultimately France.

With momentum steadily building, !Sooks’ international tours are expected to further elevate his profile while contributing to the global visibility of Eswatini’s music industry.
